Dietary Choices After Cancer

This event has past.

Location:  BreaCan Resource Centre

After a cancer diagnosis many women want to feel like they have some control over their health and working on their diet can be empowering to them. However, it can be hard to sift through all the conflicting advice and fads to find good advice on this topic. This presentation will cover: the evidence relating to diet and cancer; the role of supplements; foods to avoid; dietary myths and misinformation; and what dietitians do and how to find one.

Our presenter is Dr Maree Brinkman an Accredited Practising Dietitian and an Honorary Research Fellow in Nutritional Epidemiology at the Cancer Council Victoria. The main focus of Maree’s work is on all aspects of cancer management and prevention.
