Endocrine therapy is a cancer treatment that slows or stops the growth of cancers that are dependent on hormones to grow. It may also be known as hormone therapy. Breast, prostate, endometrial and kidney cancers are commonly cancers that can be hormone dependent.

Dr Sabashini Ramchand is an endocrinologist at Austin Health. She is currently undertaking a PhD evaluating bone and metabolic health in women with early breast cancer treated with endocrine therapy. She will talk about how endocrine therapies work, the side-effects you may experience as a result of changes in hormone levels, and what can be helpful in managing these side-effects.

BreaCan is partnering with Olivia Newton John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre to bring you this session.
