Introduction to mindful self-compassion

This event has past.

Location:  Online workshop

Mindful self-compassion is a compassion training program that teaches participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with understanding, care and kindness. It’s a courageous attitude that stands up to harm, including the harm that we unwittingly inflict on ourselves through self-criticism, self-isolation, or self-absorption.

Self-compassion provides emotional strength and resilience, allowing us to admit our shortcomings, motivate ourselves with kindness, forgive ourselves when needed, relate wholeheartedly to others, and be more authentically ourselves.

Our presenter Suzanne Peyton will give an introduction to the ideas and practices of mindful self- compassion. Suzanne, founder of The Mindful Well , is an experienced Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction/cognitive therapy teacher and health professional leading mindfulness training programs and workshops in the community, workplace and healthcare sector since 2012.
