Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer

This week we commemorate Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Join us for a day of information, discussion, sharing and connecting. You are welcome to come for all or part of the day.

Presentations include:

10.00 am Belinda Yeo, Oncologist. New drug treatments for metastatic breast cancer.Learn about the latest treatments and new drugs becoming available

10.45 am Ms Kristen Capron, Oncology Physiotherapist. Exercising while on treatment for metastatic breast cancer: is this possible? Learn about appropriate exercise and where to get expert support to start exercising?'

11.30am—12.30pm Connect with other women over lunch

12.30pm Ms Tamsin Nicholls, Social Worker. Relationships with your support network. Building and maintaining the relationships that support you, with family, friends and health professionals.

1.15pm Swami Karunananda, yoga and meditation teacher. Restorative yoga and meditation for wellness. How to use meditation, breathing and gentle movement to enhance your mental and physical wellbeing.

This session is part of our Making Connections program for women living with advanced/metastatic cancer.
