Sexual health and wellbeing after cancer

Date: Wednesday, 10/02/2021

Time: 10.00am–11.00am

Location: Webinar

Address: N/A

Sexuality is an important aspect of life; however, cancer and treatment can impact on sexual wellbeing. Physical changes, emotional effects such as adjustment to a changed body and communication difficulties are some of the issues that can affect our intimate relationships. These issues can put a strain on existing relationships and create additional challenges for women wanting to begin new relationships.

Dr Vicki Windholz is a psychosexual medicine specialist, holding public appointments at Monash Health and the Royal Women’s Hospital, and consulting privately in Camberwell.  Vicki will discuss practical strategies to help us communicate about sexuality and to build sexual confidence and enhance intimate relationships after cancer.

This session is for any woman undergoing or recovering from breast or a gynaecological cancer, whatever your sexuality or relationship status. This is a women-only session.

Register for the Sexual health and wellbeing after cancer session here.

*Registrations close at 5pm Tuesday 9 February.
