Music therapy can be useful for people with cancer to support your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and help you cope better with change and uncertainty.

Music therapy can be used to:

  • reduce pain
  • reduce anxiety
  • improve mood and energy levels
  • explore and express emotions.

Kate McMahon is a Registered Music Therapist and a PhD candidate. She is a gentle and creative practitioner, dedicated to helping people find joy, ease and strength during difficult times. In her work, Kate encourages and supports you to embody safety and agency, within the session and in your daily life.
