Apollo Bay Wellbeing Day for women with cancer

Join us for a day of wellbeing sessions and connecting with others who’ve had a similar experience.
All sessions are free, morning tea, a light lunch and tea/coffee will be provided. You are welcome to stay for all or part of the day.
Program for the day:
10.00am Registration and welcome.
10.30am Mindful Yoga & Sound
11.15am Morning tea (fruit provided)
11.30am Interactive Cooking Demonstration with a Dietician
12.30pm Lunch (provided)
1.30pm Art therapy
2.30pm Thank you and closing remarks

Audience: Women who have experienced a cancer diagnosis (recent or in the past) are invited to come along and try some wellbeing activities and chat with other local women. A friend, partner, family member, or carer is also welcome to attend.
Counterpart is happy to be partnering with Great Ocean Road Health and Barwon South West Regional Integrated Cancer Service (BSWRICS) for this special event

10.30am – Mindful Yoga and Sound
Gabby Moore
Gabby Moore is the founder of Bespoke Mobile Yoga, delivering purposeful yoga infused with potent breathwork. Gabby’s sessions are designed to clear & renew your body, mind, and soul. Rooted in her deep love for yoga and nature, she creates inspiring experiences that bring balance and rejuvenation to those she guides.
11.30 – Interactive Cooking Demonstration with a Dietician
William Chow
William is from Canada originally and a chef by trade. He completed his culinary arts degree in Canada and subsequently achieved the red seal interprovincial trade certificate in 2001. He then spent the next 5 years travelling abroad cooking in various locations around the world before travelling to Australia. He loved Australia so much he ended up staying and becoming a citizen. One highlight of his culinary career was earning a chef hat from the good food guide. Looking to further his skills as a chef brought him to the study of nutrition. After returning to study in Australia he completed his Masters of Dietetics from Deakin University and began his new journey as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. He utilises his extensive culinary background to translate complex nutrition science and medical nutrition therapy into practical tasty meals that people can make at home.

Caroline Williams
Caroline Williams is an artist, qualified art therapist and registered NDIS service provider living in Apollo Bay. She is passionate about using creativity to enhance wellbeing and manage stress. Caroline believes that anyone can start creative art-making for wellbeing with just a few techniques and a little confidence.
