Colac Wellbeing Day for women with cancer

Join us for a day of wellbeing sessions and connecting with others who’ve had a similar experience.
All sessions are free, morning tea, a light lunch and tea/coffee will be provided. You are welcome to stay for all or part of the day.
Program for the day:
10.00am Registration and welcome
10.30am Breathwork and chair yoga with Hope
11.15am Morning tea
11.30am Information session with dietitian, Paige
12.30pm Lunch (provided)
1.30pm Explore mark making in watercolour with Liza
2.30pm Thank you and closing remarks
Audience: Women who have experienced a cancer diagnosis (recent or in the past) are invited to come along and try some wellbeing activities and chat with other local women. A friend, partner, family member, or carer is also welcome to attend.
Counterpart is happy to be partnering with Colac Area Health and Barwon South West Regional Integrated Cancer Service for this special event.

Breathwork and chair yoga with Hope
As a dedicated Breathwork and Yoga Practitioner, Hope has a passion for health and wellbeing. Specialising in creating safe and nurturing spaces for individuals to cultivate inner peace and resilience. Her sessions are designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress and foster a sense of overall wellbeing. Through gentle chair yoga and guided breathwork, it is Hope’s intention to empower participants to tap into their inner strength and find calm in the midst of challenge.
Information session with dietitian, Paige
Paige is passionate about being a dietitian—especially in the oncology setting. she finds it incredibly rewarding to support individuals in meeting their nutritional goals during such a challenging time in their lives. This support can take many forms, whether it’s helping to prevent weight loss, improving quality of life, or finding enjoyable foods despite the presence of nutrition-impact symptoms.
Explore mark making in watercolour with Liza
Liza has a background in teaching Art in primary and secondary schools and enjoys any opportunity to get out the brushes and escape reality for a while to explore mark making in acrylic and watercolour.
