Geelong Peer Support Hub – Oncology Rehabilitation
Join us for a special edition of our regular Hub – with a guest speaker and morning tea!
We’re excited to host a guest speaker at our April Peer Support Hub. This is a great opportunity to hear new insights, ask questions, and meet our local Peer Support Volunteers and connect with other local women with a lived experience of cancer.
At 11am Breanna McPhee, an exercise physiologist from the McKellar Centre, will join us to talk oncology rehabilitation. Discover how this program can support cancer recovery and wellbeing. Learn how to access the oncology rehab program and explore the benefits it offers beyond exercise.
Our trained local Peer Support Volunteers will also be available at 10.30am and from 12noon (before and after the speaker) for a chat.
The Geelong Peer Support Hub meets monthly and trained local Peer Support Volunteers will be available for a chat. Our Peer Support Volunteers understand what it is like to be a woman who has cancer, as they have all had a cancer diagnosis of their own.
All our peer support hub sessions in Geelong are free. You are welcome to stay for the whole time or just pop in for a quick chat.
Audience: Any woman who has had a cancer diagnosis, either (recently or in the past) is welcome to attend. Family/partners/support people of women with a cancer diagnosis are also invited to join us.
