All our events are free. If an online event fills up, priority will be given to Victorian women.

Audience:

  • Women with cancer
  • Family, carers, friends of women with cancer

This experiential session is a chance to drop into some gentle ‘me-time’ and connect with supportive imagery while listening to music. After listening, participants will be encouraged to draw/doodle their experiences (no experience or ‘talent’ needed). There will be a short time for reflection, including time for voluntary sharing. You will be encouraged to engage at a depth that is helpful for you, and sharing is completely optional (as are cameras).

Come prepared to be comfortable and to listen without interruption. You may like to have pillows and/or blankets to feel cosy. Also bring some paper and coloured pens or pencils.

Kate McMahon is a Registered Music Therapist and a PhD candidate. She is a gentle and creative practitioner, dedicated to helping people find joy, ease and strength during difficult times. In her work, Kate encourages and supports you to embody safety and agency, within the session and in your daily life.
