Online Cancer and Wellbeing Day
This event has past.
Location: Online workshops

**Registrations close 8pm Tuesday 10 November**
Changes that can come with cancer treatment can challenge our physical and mental wellbeing. These changes include body image and weight; stress, anxiety and depression; short- and long-term side effects like fatigue and lymphoedema. All of these and more can have a negative impact on our quality of life.
Emerging evidence shows cancer patients may benefit from a range of mind-body therapies and lifestyle choices which can be useful to reduce side effects and improve emotional health and wellbeing.
It is always important to speak with your medical team about the therapies and activities you are using.
We have a range of fun and informative sessions for you to participate in. They include
- Exercise basics – a chance to hear from an Exercise Physiologist on tailoring exercise to best fit you
- How to meditate – try out some easy techniques and ask your questions
- Dance flow – find the ease and flow in your body and your life with gentle mindful movement *registration closes 8am Wed 11 Nov
- Healthy eating after cancer – dispelling the myths, what does the evidence say and finding resources to help
- Discussion and activity: creating for wellbeing to share your ideas and hear from others about how wellbeing fits into your life
