Join us for an informative and interactive discussion on the many benefits of exercise in managing the side effects of cancer treatment. Learn how movement can help improve your overall wellbeing. The session includes gentle movement activities suitable for all fitness levels, providing practical ways to incorporate exercise into daily life. 

Meet Lauren Young, Senior ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist 

Lauren is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Lauren is enthusiastic about further education and improving her skills having gained her Cancer Exercise Trainer qualification with the American College of Sports Medicine in 2019. Since graduating several years ago, Lauren has demonstrated a relentless commitment to ensuring she implements best practice exercise prescription intending to improve the lives of Australians with cancer and other chronic conditions. She has worked in private practice prescribing exercise for a wide range of conditions, including cancer, and has been an integral part of the development of Moving Beyond Cancer, an exercise oncology clinic in Camberwell, Victoria. 

Audience: Any woman who has had a diagnosis of cancer.
