Bone metastases

This session was recorded on 17 Oct 2022

Bone metastases also called ‘bone mets’. Cancer can spread to the bone when cancer cells break off from a primary tumour that is somewhere else in the body. These cells travel through the bloodstream or lymph system to a part of the bone and become metastatic cancer cells.
Dr Ruwani Mendis, a consultant palliative care physician and medical oncologist, discusses treatments available to help reduce pain and other symptoms of bone metastases. Hosted by Kellie Holland.
