Managing Cancer Pain – for women living with advanced cancer

Pain, especially when it is persistent, can interfere with daily activities and severely diminish quality of life. It is also stressful and wearying on both body and mind. There are many myths and misconceptions about pain and the treatments for pain. Associate Professor Odette Spruyt will speak about the management of cancer pain including the different causes of pain, treatment options and how to access specialist advice. (Advanced cancer is also known as metastatic or secondary cancer.)
