Research
We are looking to partner with researchers and/or student researchers interested in conducting research on aspects of Counterpart's service and service delivery.
Of particular interest is any research that investigates the effectiveness of one-on-one peer support programs for women with cancer, using Counterpart's unique peer support model.
Our aim
To strengthen the evidence base on the effectiveness of one-on-one peer support programs for women with a breast or gynaecological cancer.
Possible areas of research
- Determining the effectiveness of peer support by measuring reductions in isolation, increases in hope, sense of control and confidence
- Estimating the cost-effectiveness of peer support programs.
- Connecting with women from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
