We are looking to partner with researchers and/or student researchers interested in conducting research on aspects of Counterpart's service and service delivery.

Of particular interest is any research that investigates the effectiveness of one-on-one peer support programs for women with cancer, using Counterpart's unique peer support model.

Our aim

To strengthen the evidence base on the effectiveness of one-on-one peer support programs for women with a breast or gynaecological cancer.

Possible areas of research

  1. Determining the effectiveness of peer support by measuring reductions in isolation, increases in hope, sense of control and confidence
  2. Estimating the cost-effectiveness of peer support programs.
  3. Connecting with women from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
