My story : Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women sharing their experiences of breast cancer

by Alberts, Val

National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre, Strawberry Hills, NSW, 2005

The Indigenous Women's Breast cancer Video aims to provide an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait women from North Queensland to share their 'stories' of the diagnosis, and support of breast cancer treatment. The video highlights the strengths and human spirit of the women, whose personal experiences are able to provide encouragement for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to put 'control' of their health into their hands.
